Our very own Roadtripper’s just published a great video of Cincinnati. Please spread it far and wide!
We have completed a clinical trial demonstrating the utility of BSA bone quality testing in patients with low bone mineral density (BMD) without frank osteoporosis. Over 50 million people fall into this category and 1.6 million of them will fracture each year. The issue is that Drs. don’t know which patients with low BMD are most likely to fracture. The clinical study we completed shows that BSA testing clearly identifies who is at most risk of fracture in this significantly expanded patient population. (Original studies were performed in patients with severe osteoporosis representing a more limited market).
· Two clinical trials showing our biology work and are productizing the technology. The scientific risk is drastically mitigated. Osteodynamics has also demonstrated the test provides information that is independent of the gold standard technology, DXA imaging. We can offer the test as a reflex to existing DXA testing. This approach will dramatically reduce market risk and fill an un-met need that physicians clearly state is not provided by DXA alone.
· Offering the test as a reflex test to the gold standard allows us to tap a well-defined market of over 30 million testing opportunities per year. We know exactly where to go to capture these testing opportunities.
· We have had our original market research findings, I.P, reimbursement strategy and regulatory requirements all independently verified by experts in their fields and this work was commissioned by a third party. Osteodynamics did not pay these experts directly.
